Ben Farmer
Guitar / Bass

Ben Farmer is an Atlanta native. He began playing music at a young age and by high school was a regular in Decatur's music scene and a drum major in the Decatur High School Marching Band. Attending Berklee College of Music
after high school, he graduated with

honors, studying guitar performance and songwriting. He gigged in the Boston area while in school with singer-songwriter Alicia Champion and formed his own band, Portrait of the Artist. While attending Berklee, he also spent a summer in Nashville, interning with a publishing company and building contacts and experience in the music industry.

He moved to Los Angeles after college, where he started his career as a professional musician, gigging and recording all over southern California, establishing his skills as a guitarist, bassist, and songwriter. During this time, he also developed his approach as a private music instructor and started to take on students. In the fall of 2004, Ben returned to Atlanta, making the decision to build his career to the next level from his hometown. He started the band The Escape Artists with fellow songwriter and longtime collaborator Mike Willis and has been touring the region while also establishing himself as a force in the Atlanta music scene.
