honors, studying guitar performance and songwriting. He gigged in the Boston area while in school with singer-songwriter Alicia Champion and formed his own band, Portrait of the Artist. While attending Berklee, he also spent a summer in Nashville, interning with a publishing company and building contacts and experience in the music industry. He moved to Los Angeles after college, where he started his career as a professional musician, gigging and recording all over southern California, establishing his skills as a guitarist, bassist, and songwriter. During this time, he also developed his approach as a private music instructor and started to take on students. In the fall of 2004, Ben returned to Atlanta, making the decision to build his career to the next level from his hometown.
