Brandon Taylor
Upright and Electric Bass

Brandon began his music career at the age of 14 when he recieved his first electric bass. After learning on his own for a year he joined his high school band and began to learn upright bass and tuba as well. After high Brandon spent five years as a jazz studies major at

 

the University of Alabama where his studies included jazz and classical bass, jazz arranging, composition, recording and film scoring. While in college he performed with numerous school ensembles including big band and jazz combo, orchestra, wind ensemble, 20th century ensemble and numerous recitals and theatre productions.

Since leaving college Brandon has had a successful career playing a wide variety of music including touring the southeast with a successful rock band and recording albums with many regional artists. In addition to teaching, Brandon is currently a member of the Huntsville Symphony in Huntsville, Al.
