Frank
Lisco Frank
was born in a small town in upstate NY on October 5, 1977. His love for
music rapidly developed from an early age because of all the music that
surrounded him at home. He knew the words to every Beatles song by the
age of 7. Frank eventually decided to learn how to play all these songs
on guitar at the age of 14. Playing in various "Garage Bands"
throughout high school, his passion for music and thirst for knowledge
grew. Frank attended Fredonia State University in western NY, and studied
privately with accomplished |

classical guitarist Dennis Repino. His interest naturally progressed into jazz and improvisation. After graduating Fredonia State, Frank moved to Ithaca, NY to continue his music quest. While in Ithaca, he studied with jazz guitarist Steve Brown, head of jazz studies at Ithaca College. He continued his studies for another 2 years with jazz guitarist Nick Bullock. Frank moved to Atlanta in July 2006 to further pursue his musical career. He studied jazz performance at The Atlanta Institute of Music (this time for bass guitar). Frank is currently playing and recording with Atlanta rock/soul band Hightoneshelter, and has a side project with The Cooper Tisdale Band. He is also teaching private lessons full time and spends most of his evenings at home with his lovely wife Natalie, who teaches 3rd grade at Hightower Elementary in Doraville, GA. |
