the school of music at Georgia State University when she was 17. Heather excelled academically in high school and received many academic based scholarships and honors both with GSU and local organizations, including graduating as salutatorian of her class. In the Spring of 2003, she received the Monroe Music Guild scholarship, and in the Spring of 2006, she was awarded a music industry scholarship from GSU's School of Music. Heather continues to hold high academic standing at Georgia State as a rising senior and currently studies piano with Robert Henry and music technology with Dr. Robert S. Thompson. She also serves as pianist for Bethabara Baptist Church in Statham, GA and plays keyboards in the local indie rock band The Drownout. |
