Jim Drennen
Piano, Voice, Brass

Jim Drennen was born in Flushing, New York. He began playing piano when he was 8 years old. Throughout his school years, he excelled in piano and voice, and was also proficient in trumpet and guitar. He was the leader of his first band at age sixteen.

Jim attended Westchester University and pursued a degree in music education. Again, he excelled in piano and received an Advanced Standing in voice for all four years of college.

His passion and talents in music led him to become a professional musician touring the country doing concerts and appearing on national television shows (including American Bandstand). He is also listed as the keyboard artist and/or background vocalist on recordings with a few of today's major recording labels.

The desire to teach and mentor young musicians started with a teaching job in 1988 at a private school in Deltona, Florida. Additionally, Jim taught private lessons from his home. His success continued as he moved on to teach at another private school in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Most recently, Jim has been the music pastor at Northland Church in Cumming. While there, he has continued to take students under his wing to guide them towards musical excellence.
