Ercole Joe graduated from Berklee in 1979. He began his career writing music for an off-Broadway musical titled 'Kaboom." From there he was hired to play in various bands. He was the musical director for Esther Satterfield (Chuck Mangione's vocalist). From there he played |

in a rhythm and soul group touring Europe, opening for Sammy Davis Jr., Johnny Cash, and Victor Borge. He became interested in multimedia and started a business that scored commercials for radio and TV. He won various awards for his work. A Clio, a couple of Tellys, 3 Emmys and the list goes on. In 1999 he decided to freelance and wrote for documentaries, films, videos while he continued writing for TV spots. Soon after, he signed with the En-coded music label. HBO heard his work and licensed 5 pieces of music for " Sex and the City". Used another track for "Six Feet Under". Joe has produced some legends. Bill Withers, Stanley Turrentine, and Greg Kihn. He composed CD’s of Club music in 1993 and a solo jazz CD in 1998. Currently in addition to his freelance composition and recording work. Joe enjoys sharing his knowledge of the piano, composition and electronic music with a wide variety of students. |
