Stephen Roberts
Drums

Stephen Roberts Hails from Decatur, GA. Drums, Percussion and music in general have always been a big part of his life and at Decatur High he was heavily involved in the marching and concert band programs. He also was the schools mascot.

Stephens’ college years brought much of the same. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston. Aside form his degree he also pursued his passion for music. He studied jazz drums with Quinton Baxter and was an active member of the schools jazz quintet. Once again Stephen was the school mascot, Clyde the Cougar. Stephen also worked professionally as a drummer and was a familiar face in many of Charleston’s local bands.

In 1998 Stephen began sharing his knowledge of drums and percussion. Throughout the years in Charleston and now Atlanta he has maintained an active drum studio. He enjoys teaching beginners just as much as the experienced student. While stressing the rudimentary foundations of the drums he uses varied teaching strategies to fit a students learning needs.

Stephen currently teaches and plays professionally in Atlanta GA.
